Family Day

Today is Sunday - family day. As usual, went back to pil's place for dinner. Last wk, the parents had a stiff over dinner, literally dinner, ie whether to eat at hm or eat out? Funny, why wld they argue over this issue? (By the way, not the 1st time hee) My mil prefers to eat at hm at times as more healthy while my fil prefers to eat out as once a week so called can get to enjoy better food. So aft ding dong here & there, end up with a veg and half fish head for dinner last wk. And my wonderful dear dear being a straighward guy said why can't decide to eat at hm or eat out, and end up with such a pathetic meal. He rather not go to my pil's place for dinner.

So this comment pissed off my mil and she "complained" to me that dear dear has changed a lot since he got married. Doesn't really talk to her etc. Mm i was thinking then ...hee what you meant by "aft married"..but hee i chose NOT to take hint of that. Just take it as she is purely complaining abt her husband & dear dear ha ha.

So bearing this in mind, way be4 we reached my pil's place, i kept telling dear dear he needs to be nice to my mil to pacify her (anyway they are old already, being parents really not easy). So he did! Start to chat with them when both of my pil start to hv arguemt over to eat at hm or not. Hee aft a row of suggestions by dear dear & I, we ended up at the fish head steamboat at balestier (his dad's one of fav place). Thereaft, we went to Carrefour as his dad seems to be very excited over it. He likes to shop for grocery at mega mall hee ;p Shop till carrefour closes at 10.30pm. Then we head for hm...mm a fulfilling day...at least the parents are happy...(Parents are like kids at times ;) I guess we adults yield for attention too)

Oh ya i saw "Sessy" auntie (Channel 8, 9pm show) at balestier pet cafe and one of the tcs guy dunno his name? Sessy is pretty i must say, big eyes.

Lastly, heading to bed hee ;p and Tue is gd Fri! Ye!!!

We went shopping

Hee today as planned, we went shopping ;)

Before that took Toby for heartworm vaccination. He was frantic. Other dogs were quietly sitting next to owners while our toby was eager to move around, sniff around. Cldn't stay still but hee nevermind ;p Toby is now 6.62kg ;) Good weight. Go see Dr Chua in a year's time again hee ;)

Thereafter, we went somersat robinsons shopping. Centerpoint has changed a fair bit. There is a new wing extension. Thou the wing a bit small la. Dear dear bought a dress shoes (I chose for him hee) as well as a pair of working pants. Initially, we wanted to use the vouchers but today there is card members promotion. 20% + 20% disc - good deal! If we use vouchers we only get to enjoy 20% disc.

While looking at the shoes, we were stopped by a DJ who was promoting on the new wing for Robinsons. Asked us super simple qns like what is the col of robinsons logo and we got simple gifts. Hee both for me, dear dear can't use it - ie 2 pairs of bum equipmt ankle socks and a small evening bag fr Levis. Cool ;) and fun hee. The DJ thought thought i am sky's gf but dear dear corrected her hee ;) So nice to hear that but frankly i aged as i looked at the pics i took on my camera ph. Aiyo yo yo. Mm why i don't look on camera lei ;) hee hee..like dear dear said go inject botox to look young again (i don't really fancy the idea)..Just hope to look gd as long as possible. But as age catches up, compliments become lesser and lesser ha ha..face the reality ;p Dear dear said i pretty enough hee, even if he is lying also happy. At least got 1 hardcore fan hee

Walk and walk until so tired that i pester dear dear to sit down for a sugar drink. Hee i ate ice cream while he drank coffee. Then head back hm, took a shower, and here i am posting my blog while dear dear in the rm playing ps. He shifted the game into the rm ;)

O ya, we bought a new collar for toby. A baby blue ostrich skin leather for him hee;) Like the color and skin texture! The one he is using now is rather old already. To me, its rather exp but dear dear said ok so we buy. So happy, thought he'll say no. He said is a one time investmt, quite true ;)

And we saw a super giant rabbit which i fell in love at 1st sight! She is just 3 mths old and is said to grow double the size! Can't imagine that! But the amazing thing (as i never know) is rabbit can be toilet train too!!! I just thought it will be nice to hv another pet to accompany toby ...but just thinking hee, actualising it is quite hard. The rabbit is very timid like toby hee and they said rabbit is affectionate too, they can recognise owners which i am also very surprise too. In my dictionary only cats and dogs do hee!! My limited pet knowledge hee ;p But the rabbit really so so so nice. How i wish i can bring her back ;)

Hee summarise of the week's happening ;)

Yesterday, i did my usual cleaning. Vacuum, mop etc. And Zhenling came over to my hse to visit. Really so so happy to see her. Despite we don't meet often, we just feel the closeness ;) Thank god for a sister like her. She is as fashionable as before. We chit chat abt anything and everything. She just did a day surgery to remove a fat lump at the back, thkfully nothing serious. Hee that's was 2 weeks back and she is so called on MC now. She bought me a fashion ring as birthday gift. Its really sweet of her. Every year she does that. Just shameful of me. Its very nice. I wore immediately.

Dear dear came home early and the 3 of us went to holland v for dinner. Over the dinner, we talked abt SP nav. How situation has changed after i left the student ministry. Mm let the past be past. Thereafter, we went to Zl's new house and the new house was yh's ex-colleague's house!! Its confirmed today. Its really a small world. To me, i can just feel God's personal touch in our lives. Indeed, nothing is coincidence. Everything is at the perfect hands of God. Just like my life. God brought situations and people into my life to nurture me.

Zl and her family needed to move to a place which is more accessible for her mum who suffered fr stroke. So they hv been praying for a nice place and gd price. And this is now the place came abt. For the place she is staying its a really very good deal. God knows our needs. I learn a lot fr her life. Zl is a direct opposite of me, she is bond & courageous.

For myself, hv not been feeling too well since my menses came and gone. My stomach not well. Threw up again in the Tue morning. Its gastric acid and stomach has been feeling very bloated. Went to see doctor but somehow the medication as of now didn't help much. Will monitor for this week, before next course of action.

What else happen hee? Hee we got the new LCD tv in the rm!! Didn't realise that it is so big. I shld say it looks big in our rm. Now the rm feels more complete hee ;) No need to fight tv with dear dear already. He can watch soccer outside while i watch local channels in our rm hee. Ya now the digital box is changed to dvd recorder box (dunno if this is what it shld be called). But the remote control SUPER big and heavy. Don't know why they invented that???

To kill time, i now explore new dishes. This week i tried grilled fish. Mm not too bad ;) Always wanted to grill fish but scare it'll not be nice as i tried grilling salmon years back but failed. ok will try next time. And on wed, dear dear wanted to hv ba kut tay so i cooked. He liked it so do i. And be4 that he sms me that his colleague brought him to a nice fish soup stall but its not as nice as what i cooked at hm. Was really pleased to hear that as dear dear is a bit stingy on compliments. He is better with suggestions and further improvemts. So to hear that was morale booster. I guess for the time being, while trying my best to improve my health, i will concentrate on being a good hsewife. At this juncture, i don' t think working is a viable option.

Sharing abt blessings. God bless me with food hee..hsewife doesn't desire much ha ha..He blessed me with durians and sweet potatoes which i hv been craving for weeks hee...Oh ya, also the fashion ring, always wanted a ring but find it relatively more expensive than earrings..but God bless hee

On ya, my insurance policy is being rejected again due to my medication condition. When my friend told me she has bad news for me, i kind of guessed. Not surprise at all. Feel sad? No now feel numb. So anyone who reads my post, pls treasure your health as its your weath and happiness. I paid a high price for pursuing academic results and career advancemt. But i am still hopeful hee. Comparatively, i am better as compared to last 2 years. Now i am 47kg and Zl said i looked just nice.

Now talking abt my dear toby. We are closer as days go by. This week has been a rainy week. A particular day, the thunder was really very loud. As if its just outside our window and Toby was scared. He hid at a corner next to the dining table and i went to accompany him. We both sat on the floor, seems funny but cute hee. I shut his ears and cuddle him. As it got louder, he started to shiver a bit and i hold him tightly to comfort him. Its really a memorable moment. He just like a kid. Really thk God for him in our lives. No kid but has Toby ;)

Tomorrow we are bringing him for the annual heartworm injection. So fast, its been one year!

Hee we hv got $400 robinsons voucher so tomorrow may go and do some shopping. Dear dear needs a new pair of working shoes and me...perhaps clothes..dunno see how much left...and perhaps buy mother's day presents??? See how hee

Oh ya hv been thinking of cutting my hair as it really drops a lot. Hair everywhere. But dear dear said no. Anyway i also can't bear. But maybe trim shorter to cut away the dry ends. Hee i bought the essence water - new pbt by asience. Mm can't feel the difference...ha ha will spray more onto the hair. Verdict - not necessary but gd try ;p

In short, my life as a hsewife has been a simple but a roller coaster ride. But thkful. Learn to live the fullest everyday. Do not procrastinate but work on things planned.

Using the new phone

Hee used my new phone to capture dear dear & toby few days back but simply lazy to update in blog but now got time, so update all at one hee.

Really enjoy the new phone but one thing not used to is the flash, too strong. If the obj is too near, the flash will make the pic too white. So sometimes need to off the flash. This ph comes with auto flash unlike the previous ph we need to on the flash.

Fellowship

Today's fellowship is at dan's place. As usual even its said to be 3pm, it starts later than that ;) Richard joins us today!

Hee for a start, Pam asked if Chenjun is opened to the idea of sort of blind dating, that is, all of us go and watch spiderman 3 and ask Peili along. But he is not keen to this idea. Hee but after much persuasion and convincing he is ok if we ask Peili to join us for fellowship since she is currently looking for church and cell group to settle down. Hee see how things' go ;)

Thereafter, Dan shared that he hasn't been able to well for the past few days. Has been waking up at 3 - 4 am and mind is active abt work. So we all shared that he needs to take a break and learn to offload the work. Don't be too engross in work and neglect health and family. Fr Pam's sharing, apparently Dan has been busy at work and has little time for family and is quite short tempered recently. So dear dear & myself warned Dan to be watchful as i had overworked myself previously. Really pray that he can learn to relax and work within his means and try not to be over multi tasking.

Joan & Phillip are fine. Phillip shared that recently he went to job agency to look out for job opportunites. He is looking at working in biomedical industry. The agency is looking out for job opening in GE company.

While dear dear shared abt his work. Pray for clearer direction whether to stay in Tech or go to Intel. His colleague shared to him that it may not be a good idea to go to Intel as it is an american co where they see perf as top priority. If you don't perform, they may just replace you. On the other hand, Tech being a local firm still as the asian tradition of valuing one person's contribution and loyalty to the company. Hence, he is at cross roads of whether to stay or to go. So will continue to pray for him.

As for myself, went for a blood test yesterday as requested by my gynae. To see my hormones level during my menses. In short, the results show that i do not ovalate. I do not hv PCOD which i am very happy as early health screening shows that i am. Pray that God will show me the timing where i can start to conceive. Becos now Dr Fong & Dr Chen hv differing views on the medication i am on. One says that i can take the medication when i conceive while the other says no for the 1st 3 mths. So i need to verify with Dr Fong. Guess this is God's way of saying is not time yet ;)

Aiyoh did i share that this time round my PMS symptons are worse than previous time (hee so kind of worried if i really conceive ;) but Pam assured me that who knows i may not experience them). This time round my outbreak is doubled, got worse during the 1st day of menses, very bad backache and cramps. And this time round i vomitted much more be4 my menses come. Last time, just a bit, this time alot that dear dear needs to stay hm a while to keep me accompany be4 he goes to wk. Hee thkful its over now as my menses came.

Aft fellowship, we went to bedok Blk 85 hawker center for dinner. My 1st time there while the rest (dan, pam, phillip, joan & YH) been there during the TP days. Nice place and good food. We had stingray, bbq chicken wings, satay and famous mince pork noodles. Yummy but sinful food as Dan said. Hee never bother me ;p

Thereaft, we went to siglap starbucks for coffee and i had my fav green tea frupuccino! Wow what a nice drink to end off the day. Enjoy the kids' presence!! Hannah & mercia took our car to the hawker center. They so so cute, they danced and shoke their heads when they heard the music!! They so happening!!

Oh ya Phillip drove his new lancer. Nice car and he installed GPS in his car.

Another hot hot day

Today is yet another super super hot day. Without doing anything i can simply perspire. Can't imagine when Jun comes!

Woke up early this morning as these few days had been sleeping early. So prepare breakfast for dear dear to bring to office, bring toby down for a walk, sweep the floor and do laundry. Mm still a long day to go. Mm may not be a good idea to wake up so early ;p

Ok later i must run to rivervale mall ntuc to do grocery and window shop a while so as to enjoy the free aircon there. Really cannot tannah the heat!

Never felt so heated up and hv been drinking water like camel and hardly go toilet. Later i shld lock myself & toby in the study rm while i fold the clothes hee.

Great Laugh Hee

Yesterday night i had a great laugh. The greatest laugh i ever recalled this year. Hee without the approval of dear dear, i am going to share on my blog ha ha.

So the story goes. It all happened on Sunday where he bravely entered the soccer tournament at age 31 w/o any preparation or warm up be4 playing 7 games in a row. So as we all can guess, he ended up with ache everywhere (buttock, groin, tights etc) and looked that a red lobster. Dear dear can hardly walk and drive hee. He behaved like a handicap man. Finally, he cannot take it any further and asked me put tiger palm plasters on him. Hee and the laugh of my life kicks in. In order for me to paste the plaster on his backside he needs to remove his brief....but not being able to tell what the exact location of pain, he needed to wear his brief back slowly, slow motion, to find the exact spot. I cldn't help to laugh loudly in the middle of night as he really looked very clumsy and funny!!! He himself also found it funny but keep "reprimanding" me for laughing at him hee ;p

Hee tonight will be another round ;p ha ha

Ya yesterday went and visit baby andrielle, she is so pretty and sweet juz like mummy Judy. I enjoyed watching her sleep. I can stare at her all day long, dunno just find babies very amazing and i enjoy watching them cry, so small yet so loud (but not too long hee)

Today is another hot day and i am so reluctant to go see Dr Fong but rest of the wk he is occupied. Anyway was a quick one and i confessed that i did not take the medicine regularly and he asked me to take everyday. Ok i will be gd girl.

Thereaft, went carrefour for light grocery shopping. Bought big prawns to steam tonight. I just took 10 and it costs $9! So exp, i didn't know that as they sell by grams but they are really tasty i must say!! Worth the $$$.

Came back spent time with Toby ;) and as usual prepare dinner. And now updating my blog while my dear dear is stucked to ps2 GT4. Oh no!!! But frankly, for the time being (not sure in future hee) i am fine and happy with it. Somehow juz feel happy when he is happy ;)

Earlier we are thinking to put the Samsung tv in our master bedrm as the tv cable is nicely set up there but now i am thinking of putting in the study rm instead (despite the tv cable is at a weird location) as I can watch tv there while Toby can come in to sit and play with me. If in the master bedrm, he sure cannot come in. Study rm still ok to dear dear. Let see now ;)

Super Hot

These 2 days the weather is getting hotter & hotter! Really cannot tannah the heat. Even my plants are showing signs of heat stroke! Can't imagine when it comes to Jun!!!!

Last night really cannot tanah and hv to on air con and still can perspire a bit! Oh no global warming!

Hee tonight going to see Judy as baby AN is out in the world ;) So happy for them!

PMS Symptoms...Again

Today as usual is house cleaning day. But the difference is i started early today. Usually i start aft lunch but today i start aft breakfast (as i will be meeting my insurance friend today in the aft). Mm its good. Hee didn't realise that it can be so fulfilling that aft doing the hsehold chores (vacuum, mope, laundry & change bedsheets), its still early aft (2pm). I even hv an hour break for lunch too in btw! Mm tomorrow i shld start early as well hee (bath toby and wash toilets etc).

In the end, my friend can only make it at 5pm at compass pt so aft 3 just laze ard and play with Toby.

Why i titled the post PMS symptoms becos i am experiencing it more intense these 2 days. Started the hormones pills 1 week ago. Then i only had slight breakout at the forehead. This week, more, forehead and the cheeks. So remember dear dear said put a thick layer of oxy be4 sleep and indeed it helps to subside the outbreak a bit.

Besides that i hv been feeling easily hungry these few days. Just kept eating & eating and my stomach feels bloated. Also mood swing starts to kick in today. For no reason, despite taking lunch, i juz feel like munching smthg and i eat oreo cookies & pork floss. Somehow still feel hungry but at hm has nothing left for me to snack. Suddenly juz felt so gruncy (right spelling?), can't sit still. So cannot tanah went downstairs to pack a fried carrot cake to eat be4 meeting friend at 5pm. Felt better thereaft hee ;p Somehow when the mood swings, it really swings!

On ya, bought a life cum investmt insurance fr my friend. Hopefully can go thru this time round, previous 2 times were rejected becos of my medical conditions.

Went to my mum's place for dinner subsequently. But somehow still feel bit of gruncy, a bit short tempered. Felt better subsequently aft eating & sharing with dear dear.

Oh no hope this will go away soon or at least i can cope with these symptoms ;) Today sort of failed hee ;) Was joking with dear dear if i ever get pregnant, i guess i will be one of those girls that hv cravings. Now i can understand better how these women felt and the power of hormones!!

Oh ya, did i share that i finish the bk 'The heavenly man'? Hee so proud of myself ;p 1st time finish such a thick bk! Now going to start to read 'Step out water' hee hopefully can finish it.

Toby Turns 2!!

Toby turns 2 today! Took lots of pic! Gave him a green lobster toy and he was super happy! And gave him a pig ear as birthday cake hee. We waited for daddy to come home and celebrated birthday today hee. Daddy piggyback me and thereaft piggy back Toby hee. After that we went for a walk together as well as a short car spin hee ;)

Really glad to hv Toby in our lives! He really brings a lot of joy to both of us.

The Sun, Sand & Sea

Hee a summary of what happened for the past few days. Hee slowly going into sleeping mode of updating ha ha.

Last Sat, we finally decided to go to Sentosa to relax. I really enjoyed my stay at the beach (we didn't stay overnight). sentosa has changed so much! Siloso has changed so much. I love the clean sand & beach! And hee that day actually no hot burning sun just cloudy and some drizzling which i m perfectly fine with it! As i luv rain then hot sun. But dear dear prefer the sun hee ;p

We swam & played beach volleyball! We bought the ball and beach mat there. Close to evening we went to take our shower but the queue was super long!! I waited for an hour! The ladies jus took their time to bath ;( Thereafter, we went to coasters for dinner, we hv pork ribs, chicken wings & sweet corn for dinners as we were hungry! They tasted fabulous! Very very nice.

Will be back again! Hee and with bikini hee as mine seems out of place in the beach. Seriously hee even dear dear said so ;p. Its really a nice heldout for us!

On Sun, shirlene & frankie came over to our place to interview dear dear on decision making and automy. Cool. Thereaft, they going to Phantom of Opera! Even cooler. I really like it but dear dear not keen hee. But is ok, i sort of watch the tv version alreadi. Anyway the tickets were exp.

Yesterday, did laundry and other hsehold chores. Last night i cooked pasta, sweet corns (felt in luv with it) and garlic bread. Luv it! Tonight will be cooking curry chicken, long long time never cook. Hee today contemplating to go shopping in the afternoon at nearby neighbour since got time on hand hee.

Oh no...bs to prepare

Wow so fast its Thu already!!! Should be happy but need to prepare for bs...hee see can throw back the ball to dear dear ha ha. Finally took up the book to read at night while dear dear was out for vendor treat again (so gd life). Read the chapter for 2 times, find it so self sufficient, really no idea how to lead. Just throw a few open questions? Or go thru the bible verses? Ok see how things go hee..but just wanna commit 1 hr to bs hee.

Mm tonight what shld we do to enjoy the long holiday? Eat, drink etc??? But really wish to catch the movie "Music & lyrics" but dear dear doesn't seem to be keen..hee but ok.. Wow tomorrow evening got so many nice shows, ice age 1, wow nice i like it, the other time want to rent it but end up with ice age 2. Hee i am just a kid, i just like funny & cute stuff.

Ok faster decide on the qns for bs and close the bk so that i can enjoy the long holiday with dear dear. No need to be perfect just do my best for God hee.

Good Friday coming

Hee haven't been updating my blog lately. 1st is lazy, 2nd really nothing to update hee.

As usual, busy at home tidying the house and doing laundry hee. On Mon, dear dear suggested that we go for a short break since its long wkend. He suggested to go Bintan. But after a series of checking, find that its not worth as it was mostly booked. I meant the ferry schedule, only left with the late departure fr sin - 5pm on fri and returning hm late at 8pm so gave up the idea.

Then he thought why not go to Sentosa for a night stay to enjoy the facilities and tour ard Sentosa. But again majority is taken up and not discount as public holiday. One night stay is $300 +++, wow not cheap. Moreover, if we go on Sat, the rate is close to half the price. But dear dear not keen to go on Sat as next day check out is Sun, maybe tired and got to go back to work on Mon. So there it goes. Hee for me anything also ok as long as i can spend time with dear dear & toby.

Hee also not forgetting that by right this sat, dear dear is supposed to lead bs at our hse. But he is not in the mood. He is still burdened by his career move. Mid life crisis hee. But he is thkful that it come now then later when he is at his 40s. So the ball is at my court. To lead bs and its been donkey years since i last lead bs.

So today and tomorrow will be doing hmwk hee.

Ya finally managed to sign up as a volunteer at nat library. Need to attend an orientation class on 28 april hee.
