Somehow realise that an angel has always been ard me ;)

These 2 days have been busy trying to finish the photobook for the florida, finally it is done! And last min, dear's colleagues suggested to go down to vegas this wkend, so i too am busy looking ard for accomodation and its done too. So today will be chore day for me...hmm the vacuum cleaner is spolit, waiting for an replacemt. Hopefully, it will come today.

Overall, life has been the same except for some moodiness and bloatness and some irritability hee as you know what hee. Basically, resting and laying whenever and wherever possible haha. Transforming to a pig. Less smile this period ;p

Dairy Pdts of China

It is indeed very upsetting to see this happening over and over again. Though a couple years back i hv reduced a great deal of buying any pdts that label 'made in china' but one has to wonder even if it is made in some other ctries, where do they get the ingredients fr. For asia, i believe majority will still come fr china. When i saw the list of pdts affected, i am utterly shocked by the extent. Imagine nabisco chicken in a basket can also be affected! Guess now i hv to be double careful. Guess the better way to go is to eat fresh.

Its upsetting to know how much a chinese value money above all things. A disregard of human life. Yet you know its smthg you can never change overnight. Its pple hv been oppressed since centuries ago...during the dynasties period, communist period and even now.

Just hope that somehow thru this incident, its pple wld realise and govt will not hide the seriousness of the issue in order to portray a perfect image infront of the world.

Funny Moments

Hee while dear is taking a nap now, i shall update my blog.

Just as dear dear has shared, we went to arches nat park yesterday. It was a long journey but a fulfilling one indeed. The scenery is amazing. Since he has shared most of the details part of the trip , let me share the bo liao moments of the trip that caught my eyes.

1stly, for these 9 mths in utah, the total walking/hiking/jogging i hv done is = 10yrs of excercising in s'pore!!! So next time, no need to excercise anymore haha. Wow, really amazing i must say. Hmm kind of accomplishment haha...but at the end of last night, my legs were crying out for rest!! Thkfully, along the way home, i massage my legs so that the after pain won't be so intense hee..and it wks ;)

Also, the amt of time outdoors is also 10 times more!! And now i am getting clever haha. No, lah now i hv to wear long sleeves to cover up myself. And indeed, tests hv shown it works! Somehow my skin is very sensitive to direct sunlight even with sunscreen. It will itch and be red. But yest i was fine!! Yeah!! Except my face still kanna a bit, on the side of the face, but thkfully went off quick a bit today ;p Yeah!

Here comes the interesting part, to keep dear dear accompany or 'awake' during the close to 4hrs drive, we 'quarrel'!! We bring up topics for discussion and since we are different, we debated ourselves. Its a 'fun' way to keep time going real fast! But get be intense at times haha. The rest of the time, is eat, eat & eat. Nachos, nuts, drink etc haha. The trick is bring a small carton box, and put all the snacks in it so that its more organised and bring 1 gallon of water and water bottle for refill hee ;)

Since it was only the 2 of us this time round, we took our time and pace and do things funny. Hee we took some silly shots and my 'posing' shots ;p while taking a rest in btw the hectic hike haha. Enjoy!

Oh ya dear, bought me this pair of walking shoes. This is the best shoes i hv wore so far!! Even though i used to be an althetic and sch sponsored us shoes, this outbeat them way abv!! Its really very very comfortable as the sole is very contour to the feet. Hee now dear and I hv the same shoes. And mine in green! This really make walking so much easier. Previously with my adidas shoes, your soles will be really painful aft the walks but this is so so much better.

We ate at 1st KFC in the world

Yup, last night we ate at the 1st KFC in the world! After we came to Utah, we found out that KFC was orginated from Utah. We always thought its shld be Kentucky since its name said do. But apparently it came from here. And we finally found where it is located! Previously we hv trouble locating it. There are statues standing outside the restuarant. The old man that we remember and his son. Inside they exhibit the outfit the old man was in, the white one, the pressure cooker etc...interesting.

The KFC I must say were really juicy as compared to other outlets we had been. Really tasty. They even hv a KFC buffet but we didn't opt for it as it will be too much for us girls. Oh ya, we went to pick up Mark from airport, hee he shaves his head almost bald, the BMT head. So cute.

Hmm very yummy, will go back there again if we hv cravings for KFC.

I am feeling better

Today I am feeling better. Actually, over the weekend i was feeling better. Thks dear dear for bringing me to the pet adoption event. It really brightens up my day ;)

Also, dear dear has inserted new songs on my leleo to cheer me up hee. The almo song is so so cute ;p

Oh ya, i think my neigbour upstairs or somewhere near bought a new puppy. It has been whinning since yesterday. Initially, was thinking cld it be abandoned? Hee but unlikely as i checked most tenants are here. Then i noticed the whinning went off in the evening. So i guess this little puppy is getting used to hvg no one ard. Hee reminded me of toby when he 1st joined us ;)...Hmm i may sound bad, but I do enjoy hearing the puppy's whinning. I tried to 'talk' to it (dunno boy or girl ;p) but dunno if it hears me ;)

Lastly, today I came across this while i was compiling our photo album, a pic taken at the Holocaust Memorial. Guess God is reminding me. A mother who said this despite millions of her fellow jews had been killed -

Nice Weather

These few days the weather have been really nice and cooling. I basically juz open the windows and off the aircon. These few days hv been rather occupied with chores and chit chatting with friends online hee. Nothing special, just normal and simple life.

Dear dear has been home early these few days and i enjoyed his company and walk in the park, chit chatting and discussing life ahead.

On wed, we gave his colleague Ashvin a surprise birthday party (a simple one). One of dear dear's close buddy in the company. He was there helping us at our wedding. He was caught off guarded as his mum and cousin were here ;p His colleagues were making fun of him and his new gf who is now backin s'pore. Got to chit chat with his mum and cousin. They are very polite pple. They even invited us to go Mauritius, their homeland, for a visit. Haha guess got to wait till Ash get married then perhaps we will consider flying there. I heard it is really a very nice island, lots of beautiful marine fishes. Its an island slightly bigger than s'pore next to Madagascar (hee reminds me of the cartoon, and once intention to paint one of the wall with the pic ;p)

Over here, friends' support are so impt. Really cherish their kindness and friendship.

So fast, tomorrow is friday already. Will be picking medical notes fr doc tomorrow for personal documentation and insurance claims. Hence, dear dear will be back be4 lunch and thereaft heading back to work again.

Oh ya today is sept 11. 7 yrs ago when terriorists attacked and many lives were took away. Past few days, occasionally you wld watch shows reenacting what happened on UA93 where the passengers fought back. It was saddening to see how the passengers called their loved ones for the last time. Yet its time to let go. It is sad to see the family members during the memorial today on tv, still crying aft 7 yrs. Sometimes, i feel that its better to bring closure than hvg memorial every yr to bring back tears and hurts.

And hmm i was utterly surprised when i heard fr news that the memorial at the pentagon cost $22million to build!! And $11million to maintain. Personally i was taken aback by the enormous figures. Hvg said this, i just prayed that all these money will be put to good use.

Everything is in place

Yes as you can see now, i hv a beautiful skin! I love these puppies, so so cute. Thks dear dear for restoring my template!

As some of you may hv know why dear dear had gone away by now as some of his colleagues met in an accident and unfortunately one passed away. It had been hectic for the mgmt team as they simply had no such prior experience. But thk God, all things are in place now.

All the more, i treasure my loved ones as you won't know when anyone of them be gone or perhaps me myself. Remember to love as you never love before.

I am really thkful for dear dear's colleagues. While dear dear was away, 2 of his colleagues came to keep me company. They stayed over at our place and they kept me occupied thru mahjong session and dvd watching. I am really thkful for them, given that i do not hv any friends here.

During these periods of time here, got to know some of the girls better. Really glad that some opened up and shared their personal life with me. I am very touched by that. From a bunch of pple that i nvr know to some that touched my hearts.

Its Tuesday and dear dear is home

So fast, its tues and dear dear is home. Absence makes the heart fonder ;) Yesterday was Labour Day, a public holiday. So we woke up and went to try Carls' Jr breakfast. Really yummy!! Thereaft, laze at home watching tv etc. Relaxing.

Oh ya, yesterday there was hail (spelling?) storm for a while. I didn't see it but dear dear did. Thereaft, there was rain. There is a tropical storm at new orleans, real bad. Thkful we are no way here but i guess we may be slightly along the path, hence there was heavy rain for the past 2 days.

Weather has been cold for the past 2 days. Back to aircon temp, in the 10-20 deg. Got to put on jacket while we were out. Hee but still can wear shorts and flip flops ;p Nice weather.

You can really feel that summer is coming to an end and officially autumn will kick in on 22 Sept.
