A Long Day

Today is a long and hot day. Surprising weather given past few days were rainy days. Today supposed to go to baby elijah's birthday but was hit by headache. Guess becos last nite didn't sleep well and the starhub lady gave me an early morning call that disrupted my sleep.

So finally decided to stay at home to rest. But really a long day home alone with toby. Can't help to miss dear dear and so many weekends and days to go..... ;(

But yest was a nice one, went dinner and shopping with sis at TM. Helped her look at clothers and she bought a top and bottom. Nice! Myself, i bought a belt hee. A cheap one, just $9.90. Need one to standby be4 going to u.s. to get better one.

Aiyo while typing, feel so hot...hee later on aircon.

Tomorrow maybe going for facial with sis but not confirm yet as we are on waiting list. Oh ya...need to give courtesy call to my pils, if not....

Hmm nice dinner

Just came back fr Sally gu gu birthday dinner at vivio city. We had dinner at imperial herbal restaurant. The food was unusual, in terms of cooking term but was a gd experience. I like most is the sweet potato wnd yam coated with sugar. Really very nice. Seen on tv but never got a chance to try. Now i did and its satisfying.

As usual, we wld update abt our lives and happenings in current job and ex Singtel. As some of them still in Singtel, we will get to listen to latest updates. As i looked at them, realised that they are now from different industries. Sally gu gu in hotel industry, director in Grand corpthorn, hee the hotel where i got married. BL director in brands - health industry, eva and ys, mgr in mediacorp - media industry, kl & steph, mgr in singtel - telecommunication industry and finally my close friend tst sort of resting. So happy for them in their career.

Somehow hv the urge to go back to wkforce hee and pursuit my career but only '3 mins hot degree' la ;p Just dreaming where i be now if i am still workg. Hee secret.

In anyway really hv an enjoyable time with them. We will meet again in dec'08. Look forward to that. Too bad never hv chance to take pics.

Today

Another day has past and i miss yh as usual. Today i went to StarHub to do no. port. My Singtel contract has expired and finally i can port to StarHub so that i can hv my contract starts rolling. Went to compass point to collect my dry clean dress and headed to ps SH cust srvc ctr.

But oh no...becos the line is under yh's name, even if there is authorisation letter also no use. Guess i hv to do smthg bad..i need to forge ;( no choice. There is no way i can hv YH handwritten signature.

Thereaft, went to shop ard and also to ask abt hair cut prices. Just pop in to any hair salon for prices. Wow didn't know just a trim can be so so exp. $55 at reds and $49 at hairfolio. What??? If only i can cut my own hair.

Hee i bought a tights at $12. Cheap.

Tomorrow will be celebrating Sally Gu Gu's birthday. She is my lovely ex singtel colleague. The last time i saw her was at Steph's wedding. Thk god, we are hvg the celebration at vivio city. Yeah!!! On NEL line, that's convenient.

Oh ya gave uncle Roy a call. I wld be meeting up with him and bee lay at their place next week. Really thk God for them. Hope I can strengthen my walk with God.

I really thk God for my sis and my bil. They hv been taking care of me. As and when they will ask me to join them for dinner. Even though we hv diff beliefs, they really hv a gd heart. Pray that one day they will come to know God.

Oh ya, i rec'd a comment fr a brazilian i guess..saying to add his/her website add in my blog.???He/she wrote in brazilian and i try to decode hee.

One week has past

Today is monday and a week has past since dear dear left for u.s. Still adjusting to life w/o dear dear. Must say not easy for me. But continue to try.

Thank god we has skype. Initially i can only hear his voice but no image as he is still setting up. His laptop has tighter security so does not allow him to load the webcam. But thk god dear dear bought an ext hard disk!!

Seeing him really makes a diff. He showed me ard the hse hee. And the toilet too!! Hee we practically like hvg each other beside. I watch him cook noodles for himself. And he watched me hug toby and clear my files. Really enjoyable.

Today we just skype for 2 hrs plus hee. Thk god its free (hmm except electric bill la)

But tomorrow is working day for him already. Weekdays won't hv such luxury but its ok.

Cleaning the hse

So fast its thu. Adding today, dear dear has been away for 6 days. Slowly adjusting to life w/o him. What shld i say, toby and I doing fine, but somehow just missing smthg in our lives.

Just finished spring cleaning the master bathrm. Close shop today and i will share the same bath rm with toby hee. Slowing will do spring cleaning for master bedrm too and close shop hee. Pack one rm by one rm. By the time to go, it won't be overwhelming.

Dear dear doing grocery

Just gave dear dear a call and he was doing grocery then. We are 15hrs apart. So he is still on Sunday while i am on Mon. Glad that dear dear is slowly adjusting. His rm mate will only join him next week so he will be home alone for now.

Nice apartmt he said. He chose the rm with attached bathrm for us hee. He left half the cupboards for me. So sweet of him. Oh ya dear dear said the winter clothings there are cheap so don't need to get too much here.

Oh ya, dear dear is worried that i may not get thru the US customs as one of his colleagues almost get asked to go back to S'pore! Hmm so funny, dunno they based on what to make the call. Again maybe becos he is holding a diff visa as us. We are on 'H' visa but his maybe on 'J' visa. Hmm if remember correctly 'J' is for pple who came into US prior to this entry within 6 mths?

Really got to pray hard. Can't imagine i am alone, aft traveling for over 20hrs, get send hm. For myself, i am slowly adjusting too. With no one to sleep besides me. Meanwhile i am slowly packing and cleaning the house. Doing the necessary logistics, bank, mobile, tv etc. Hmm though only 7-8 mths away fr hm, need to do quite a far bit. Oh ya clear the fridge ;p

Finally really thk god for technology. While dear dear is yet to collect his new laptop till he starts wk on Mon, we communicate thru hp, exchange MMS and also he updated his private blog using his hp. Isn't all these amazing! Really makes the dist nearer.

Dear outside his apartmt. Sent via MMS. He still looks tired after a gd sleep ;( Guess still adjusting to time diff.

I miss dear dear

Dear dear left for U.S yesterday 5 plus am. And after 24hours later, he reached Lehi safely. And after 24 hours, i still miss him as much ;( My sis said i am silly to cry as i will be joining him soon but just miss him and toby...and our home here to a foreign land. Like sis said, i shld embrace this rare opportunity with an open and joyful heart as not many hv the chance to experience a diff culture. Yet dear dear & i know that we miss here. Perhaps now is a 'down' period for me to adjust, hope soon it'll be better.

Dear dear and i didn't sleep the night he left. We did a lot of things together. We went down to the 24hr kopitiam for coffee for the last time. Dear dear walked toby for the last time. We packed and we took our last shots at our home.

Whenever i think of dear dear, i will look at the photos. Dunno look at it for how many times already. Guess i am so used to hvg dear dear and toby with me in my life that hving one less makes life incomplete. (toby dozing off zzzz)

Slowly counting down and packing the house. So sad.

Wow Pet Cast!

Wow i am amazed. While searching for the avg yearly weather forecast for sandy, utah so as to better prepare myself, i am amazed to come across pet cast! a weather forecast for your dog!! Can you believe it? They will ask you your dog age, coat, female etc and tell you the weather that day and what is the best time to walk your dog! I am so astonished! U.S is really so so super dog friendly. Once again, how i wish toby can be there!!

Time is drawing nearer & nearer

Ya time is running out....;( dear dear will be gone to U.S next Sat!!! That's less than 10 days!! and dear dear is still busy with work. With recruitment. Its like never ending. Guess really not easy to require so so many pple.

I am really sad but can understand that he also doesn't want this. Hope when we are in U.S we can spend more time together as i don't think they hv so much OT there hee ;)

Tonight, we will go get luggage bag. Last few times, he can't make it as got farewell treats for him.
