We are sick

Ya both of us felt sick ;( It started w dear dear catching a flu and followed by me, then headed back to dear dear real hard. We had to self medicate as seeing doc is real expensive here. Just a trip will cost usd100!

Dear dear is worse of than me, bad cough and flu. For me, phlegm and sore throat. Hmm somehow the medication that i got fr here seems to make my condition worse ;( Now i am trying not to take any, to let my body self heal. But we are really very thankful for dear dear's colleagues. Once they know he is sick, they came with medication and chysanthemum tea. So so sweet of them.

Hmm above all these, we still went out over the weekend. Hmm in 1 way has worsen the condition esp for dear dear. We went ice fishing and snow mobile. Both were really fun but we didn't catch any fish. 11 of us but none catch any. While others caught many. We were guessing may be the sound of the snow mobile that scared the fishes away ;p Anyway the guide was really sweet, they gave us 4 fishes to eat. Dear dear's collegues said it was really sweet. Too bad we can't be there as by then dear dear was super sick. We stayed at home and i cooked fishball noodles for us.

I must say ice fishing is real fun but real cold. We wore layers of clothes and double socks (1 is 70% wool and the other normal). Personally i feel its colder than skiing w/o the sun. Guess also becos i ain't feeling well. Be4 i was there, was thinking wld the ice crack since we are on top of the lake? But far from it, they drilled the hole and the ice is real thick. Half of the length of my hand?

Hee most memorable one will be on the ski mobile behind dear dear's back. Hee very sweet to hold on his waist going thru the high and low slopes. Hee next time i shld try too ;p Oh ya dear dear gave me roses on our anniversary, sweet surprise ;)

Also rec'd an email fr Hannah & mercia. So so sweet of them. We really miss them and folks in s'pore.

Home alone w curry chickee ;p

Hee today will be home alone w housemate and curry chicken fr prima taste. Housemate brought fr s'pore. Never try any instant curry be4 but its sure super easy to cook.

Tonight dear dear has dinner with his boss. Family members supposedly to be going but aft discussion they find it distracting to bring kids along so all didn't bring family. Hee i am ok w it. I am busy w amending my 'way to long' jeans. Hee quite happy with my hands. Really thk God for them ;)

Wow can't imagine that this Thu marks the end of CNY. That's a blink of the eye! Have been busy with activities lately. Either at home or outside. Like dear dear shared last week we went go karting. I meant him la, i just watched. Not really keen but its nice to watch.

Dear dear did very well. He came in 1st each time. I have to admit that he is gd at it. Haha that's why i am attracted to him as he is good at sports ;p Thereaft, went park city for shopping again as president's day sale with the folks. Didn't get anything except for a pair of shoes which can only be wore during summer hee ;p We were tired as the air was very dry and dear dear like falling sick..i think i am going to also.

On sun, went marketing, thereaft had a stroll at the nearby lake to see the goose/duck but haha i scare most of them off. Was really nice to walk on snow and touching the icy lake. I just enjoyed the simple walk and tranquility.

At night, we spent quality time talking and listening to music. It was some time back that dear dear sang to me. It was a really nice feeling. Very comforting. And we miss toby. Didn't know dear dear miss toby as much as we do so we started to recollect the memories we had with our toby boy.

This coming thu, dear dear's boss is giving them a treat, family invited. That's sweet of him.

Homesick

These 2 days, dunno for wat reasons i miss home terribly. Esp toby boy and singapore as a whole. Guess i am still a homely person. Aft all these celebrations, realised i still be happy with my family ard. Have headaches. Guess also dear dear has been home rather late these 2 days as some big shots came down for virginia, so need to go for extensive meetings and dining sessions.

CNY is over

Wow little did i realise that i hv not updated the blog for a while ;p Don't miss me too much ok. I am still ard, just busy with activities and (hmm not used to updating blog with somebody behind me watching). Oh ya ...cny is sort of over for us..life back to normal already..

Last Thu, I joined dear dear for a reunion gathering at one of the apartments. It was really fun and they had steamboat! I really miss it so much given that every yr i will hv it during reunion dinner. It tasted like home. Thereaft, they played blackjack and poker. CNY is always filled with gambling! Haha duno why ;p But i really enjoyed myself by watching, hee sometimes i wld play for dear dear. Oh ya...poker is something new to me and i really think its a fun game minus the cash involved. We headed home at 1.30am!! Hee we had to sneak as its really late becos overhere anything they called police.

The next day we went to soldier hallow. Hmm dear dear had updated most of the pics so no pic fr my end ;( Overall it was really fun...hmm again tired with the snow treking!! The weather was hot that i need to unzip as my hands kept perspiring! Snow tubing was really fun and easy...haha becos no effort involved! Reminded me of the time i had with Hannah and mercia.

On Sat, was sort of a rest day for us as we were tired. But hee in the morning i pull dear dear up to the gym. He jogged for x km while hee most of the time spectator haha. I just did some leg and hands toning. We bought some books to read. Now i am reading '5 pple u meet in heaven'. It is a really nice book. Very inspiring and gd reminder of life. Share more next time ;)

On Sun, shopping day!!! Ashvin was here!! He was one of our wedding helper. Dear dear brought him shopping be4 he starts wk on Mon. We went to park city. I spent almost half my time finding jeans and trying jeans! Can faint. In the end, gotten one ...hmm a bit loose...a bit long...a bit regretted ;( ..but hee can exchange. Guess becos i am not used to baggy jean. Thereaft, more shopping, brought ashvin to cabela's to buy ski jacket....Hmm..sounds like more skiing again..Me and my fragile body ....

Oh ya, dear dear drove a sports car! Hmm dunno what is it called. Anyway it was loud and not easy to sit as it was buckled seat. How it came abt - His colleague rented it and lent him to drive. So nice of his colleague. There goes Sunday.

Yest nothing much as dear dear home late, tonite as well. So basically watch tv, read bk, do chores..the usual stuff la..

Tiring weekend

Yes we went to ski again last sat. I attended the skiing class again as the flatmate's wife was here. Need to accompany her. Nice refresher course though. Overall, i had improved my ski. I can ski down the explorer w/o assistance or stopping. I am pretty satisfied myself.

But overall it was a tiring experience. We ski fr 10am to 4pm this week. It was so exhausting that i thought i wld lost my breathe. And i caught a cold as it was snowing (light) and freezing cold. Not much sun. My conclusion this is likely to be my last ski as i am thinking ok i hv learnt the basis skill (dear dear said i shld at least achieve basic skill level so that in future if we do travel to ski areas we can still ski, agree), not cheap to ski (1 trip is usd75 per person), can't ski in s'pore and most imptly i am not young to stretch my body to this extend. Also i need to take care of my body for family planning. Guess for me it also doesn't make sense to be muscle aching for the next few days...;p

In sum, ski is a leisure for me than a sport. I do enjoy it except for the tiring part hee;)

Hee i took some pics of the mountains along the way down from Brighton ski resort. We ski on 1 of these mountains. As u glance at them quietly, u certainly be reminded by God's awesomeness. Also to keep myself awake to keep dear dear accompany while he driving.

Oh ya this fri there is a cny gathering for dear dear's co at the ski resort again! Ok i may be there but definitely not ski hee ;p

Time flew again and this thu is 1st day of cny. My mum and sis busy with cny shopping while i am here lazing ard hee. Except it'll be half day for dear dear on thu and co gathering on fri. Dear dear is contemplating to have a gathering for his team but not confirm yet as not easy to find a venue. Let's see how.

Friday - free time

Yes its fri and i am free fr cooking ;p Today woke up and do hsehold chores like cleaning kitchen and washing toilet plus vacuum floor. Now relaxing doing whatever i want. I think i m really a worker, with nothing on hand seems so empty..hm or boring..

But again when cooking for the past few days felt so tired. Aiyo i really not contented in anyway hee ;p

Nothing much going on for the past few days. Life as per normal except has a person to chit chat with me ;) We talked abt past relnships, how we get to know our partners etc. Interesting hee.

Last night dear dear asked me if i miss home, indeed i still do..esp the thought of able to hug my toby boy. I miss his touch, fur and smell hee
