Summary of Activities

So fast is Mon alreadi. Today, dear dear took leave to service his car. We woke up at 8+ and make our way to the service ctr at Alexandra. I sat at the waiting lounge while he met up with the service attendent. Ding dong, ding dong till 10plus. Aiyo so long but ok la i got to read the magazines, saw cars and merchandise. And also put put there hee ;p They served beverages and pastries but i didn't take any as thought later wld go and eat but alamak shld hv taken hee.

After that went next door ikea for brunch and a quick shopping as very cold there. I didn't bring my jacket along. We took cab hm thereaft. Reached hm played with toby and dear dear spent time uploading photos at Kodak site. No more yahoo photo already.

As for me, not feeling too well. Headache, a bit feverish and eye infection. For the 1st 2 maybe becos too tired fr yest's zoo visit and recovering fr the crying. The latter, i thought becos of the rgp len i wore. But aft consulting the doc is not. Is becos my eyes lids are over oily. Too oily glands she said, so kanna infection. Now my right eye swollen, itchy and has yellowish discharge. Given antibotics and eye lotion. Oh ya dear dear also found the doc very nice hee. Thk God, i found her by chance a yr ago. Hee so taking the opportunity i asked abt my dry eyes and lasik. For dry eyes, i can use eye drops (which i hv been using but more of short term solution). She also said that taking omega 3 & 6 will help. Wow i m surprise but the wonder of fish oil. Hee my nerosurgeon has given me a big bottle but i hvn't been taking it religiously. So now must discipline hmm.

Oh ya since we do not hv car, we took train to kovan to see my eye specialist as well as take dinner. I didn't know buying a single trip is so much more exp than ezk link card. Single trip ticket costs $2.20 while using ezylink card costs $1.40 only. Wow really wanna earn tourists' $. And my silly boy kept making silly jokes along the way. He said what if someone lost his foothold while in the train, hmm if he fell he shld just pretend that he is doing sit up. Ya right ;p and when we were in the lrt train, we saw an auntie swiftly made her way into the cabin just secs be4 the door closes. He sang praises of the auntie and also make silly jokes of having her face squeezed by the doors. He squeezed my face to illustrate. We can't help to laugh quite loudly in the train ;) And he slipped off his mouth and said "ah pa" and an indian couple looked at him. So paiseh hee. But i really enjoy the gd laugh hee. Lastly, now dear dear can comprehend whenever i say its tiring to travel ard. He also felt it was tiring. Hee so glad ;)

Ok now let me share abt the zoo trip. 1st thing we woke up, we thought of bring hannah & mercia to zoo. We hv been wanting to go to the zoo w them but somehow didn't make it till yest. So i called pam and when she asked Hannah & mercia, they'll so so thrilled and excited. We picked them up fr church. Be4 that it was raining, so was praying to God for gd weather and by God's grace it was. No rain and no sun. Hee very nice weather.

When we reached the zoo we had kfc for lunch. The kids luv it and for me, i was careful not to take the skin and not to eat too much. Thankfully no diahorea but just very watery stool the nxt day. Still bearable :) The kids were so photogenic and they really know how to pose!! We looked at many animals, tiger, horse, giraffe etc and finally we took an elephant ride together hee!! So fun hee. Hannah & mercia are so discipline and nice to be with. Especially so for hannah. She is so sensible. When we wanted to buy ice cream for them, she offered to let Mercia decide the flavor though she wld luv to hv green tea. But too bad there wasn't green tea instead Mercia took chocolate while she had cookies & cream. Dear dear & i were sharing, like mother like daughters. Pam is a gd shepherd so is Hannah. I hope i can be a gd shepherd too one day. And also not forgetting Mercia, she is so so sweet natured. When dear dear put his hand into the fish pond, she was so worried that the fishes wld bite him and quickly put his hand up. So so sweet of her ;)

For dear dear & myself, we really enjoy the trip so so much. For me, i enjoyed the moments of taking care of them, holding their hands and piggy back Mercia ;) When Mercia was scared of the lion roars fr the speaker, she hugged me really tight. Was a special moment for me. But one thing for sure, its not easy being parents. We were very tired aft that as we needed to carry them during the shows as it was crowded and the kids' view were blocked.

At 6, Dan & pam came to fetch Hannah & mercia. They were thkful for our gesture but in our hearts we were even more thkful to be w the kids hee. Oh ya they bought me a CD series by pastor Prince to listen. Abt God's luv. Really thkful.

Overall, was really glad to see both of parents doing well. I know it'll be better as time passed. As for Hannah, i (we) can sense that she is a bit troubled when we 1st saw her but i know she'll be healed in time. Will keep her in prayers. Overall, personally i learnt alot.

Tired

Just came back fr seeing dr fones and shopping a while since alreadi in town. Weather so cold today and for the last few days. Hee need to wear slippers at hm most of the times hee.

Oh ya yesterday when for a trim, 3-4 inches but dear dear said "Got cut meh?" Hee got la. Can't bear to cut too much. But i cut short my fringe, even shorter this time as hair grow very fast. Asked the hair stylist to cut short short. Very disturbing. Hee a bit tu tu but ok as stay at hm most of the time.

Tonight hm alone as dear dear has dinner w colleague. Its ok as i m tired. Also hv been hvg headache for past few days. So its gd to stay hm to rest. Hm is so much warmer. Outside so so cold. Aircon so strong.

Waking Up Early

This morning i woke up very early 6 plus. Eyes open big big hee and waited for time to past before i start to prepare breakfast for dear dear. In my mind was thinking to start off everything early today so that i can go out shopping in the afternoon.

So aft dear dear left for wk, i started to vacuum and mop the floor. Not long aft, the sleeping monster came. So i put in my last bit of energy to finish up. Wow really not used to waking up early ;p I dozed off with toby on the sofa! Luckily i was not perspiring much today given the cooling weather. Thereaft took a shower and prepared for lunch. Still tired, so gave up the idea of shopping and slept w toby till 4 plus hee ;)

Finally fully charged, woke up played hit and seek & fetch with toby. Went out for dinner with dear dear today as tomorrow and fri, he wld be occupy with wk and farewell dinner w colleague. Hence, tomorrow will go back to my mum's place alone. Before that may go for a hair trim as the ends are so dry and kept entangling.

Dear dear is back!

Hee yesterday evening dear dear was back! So thrilled to see him. So was Toby, kept jumping on daddy and licking him. But dear dear looked tired fr the journey. Ought to be as he played banana boat, and other sports. Not forgetting the seasick. Miss him ;) In the evening, we went to soup restaurant for dinner but somehow both of us had little appetite. For him was the seasick, for me was the gastric, felt blotted. Overall, really happy that dear dear was back ;)


Hmm how did i spend my weekends w/o dear dear. Hee hopping btw my mum and my sis' place. Bringing toby along whenever possible. Hee like bring a kid out ha ha. My sis took care most of my meals as normally they'll eat at hm during the weekends. The opposite of me hee. I spent time chit chatting with my sis & bil as well as playing and pampering Moon. Oh ya not forgetting to watch movies on cable. Hee very nice.


As for my mum, she is still learning to cope with the thought of losing my nephew. She even cried on the phone while talking to her. My sis & I tried to help to see if this is really the best way out for my bro and my sil. Ultimately, lay on the hands of my bro. Dear dear always reminded me not to be affected as they are adults, they know how to take care of the situation.


Oh ya while chit chatting with my bil, got to hear horrible & shocking stories of man & women nowsadays. Especially women. In pub, there is a new generation of women whose aim is to "play men". They outrightly tell men, they are not here to commit anything with man but just here to have fun. One night stand can but no further commitment. I was shocked to hear that but also come to realise that women nowsadays are very independent and don't want to lose out to man. They don't want to feel insecure. So here's the new breed. And my bil also told me stories of married woman who went out to "play". Aiyoyo. Guess this has always been there just that i hv not heard of. Me just feel that all the more women tried to avoid feeling insecure, all the more they'll fall for it and destroying many pple along the way.



Whatelse le? Hee cleaning the house and ironing clothes when at hm :) so now hse clean clean. Oh ya silly me took pics of my teeth hee. Just wanna see if they are whiter. 2 weeks to go to see the final results.

Heavy Hearted

Have been thinking whether to pen this down but finally did. As a relief as well as a reminder not to take things or life for granted.

These few weeks so many things happened ard my closed ones. First was P & D, followed by shirlene & frankie, then came chenjun's mum and finally my brother & parents. Sometimes really hope my prayers can be a simple ones w/o any prayer requests but simply thks giving for the day.

Yet all these draw me closer to God knowing that besides Him, there is no one whom i can ask for help to relieve these pple's struggles or trials.

Frankly, what saddens me the most is to see my brother, my nephew and my parents so miserable and troubled. Yet there is nothing i can help except being ard and give some advice. My brother's marriage cannot to be salvaged anymore i believe. On one hand i am glad as this has been tangling for yrs, its gd to close a chapter. On the other hand, is really saddening to see my brother so lost as well as my parents so troubled over the custody of my nephew. We know in our hearts that is not easy to win the child's custody but sometimes just need to let go (at least we can still see him weekly), especially for the good of my nephew's well being. Can't help to feel sad for my nephew too. Though he is still young, i know he is awared of what's happening. All i can do is to pray hard that God will protect him and made him His when he grows up so that he will not go astray.

Thru all these, it makes me stronger and weaker at the same time. Stronger, to be by my family side and pray. Weaker, there is nothing much i can do besides to pray. Life is so vulnerable. Pray that my loved ones will be happy and learn to cherish relnships and ultimately know God.

Another day

Another day is going to pass ;) Blink its thu already. Just finished doing laundry, sweeping & mopping. Later bath for toby be4 heading back to my mum's place. These 2 days hv been raining. Really surprising but nice one.

Last nite didn't sleep well. Had been tossing ard. Ard 3am came out watch tv till 4plus be4 heading to bed again. This morning didn't manage to get up prepare breakfast for dear dear. Felt so bad ;( Guess yesterday noon slept too much hee, hence at nite can't sleep.

Hee suddenly feel that the hse is so clean :) feel so accomplished to be able to maintain the hse so that when dear dear comes back, he'll be relaxed and enjoyed. But again like nothing much left to do, aiyo yo. So fast weekend is coming and dear dear will be in bintan. Gonna sleep alone for 2 nites ;( Hmm got to cherish tomorrow evening, hopefully he doesn't need to do OT. But suspect is a yes since he is the organising committee, maybe hv last min follow up.

Toby going to hv a new friend soon

Now am home alone with toby. Dear dear is having dinner cum durian session with his team. In the evening, met my lady neighbour + her 2 nices & sil. Hee didn't get to know her name. She is back for gd. Her hubby & her have been away for 2 years in Brunei. Her hubby is a captain in SAF. And am really glad to know that she has a dog too! She has a cavalier. He is 2 yrs old and now in Sembawang under qurantine. He will be back in end Jul. Look forward to see him ;) Hope that toby and him can mix well, so Toby has a playmate ;) I didn't get to know his name but know that he is fat as my neighbour says. He is 10kg! Wow that's heavy.

My lady neighbour is a nice lady. Previously never had a chance to talk to her, just see her face once in a while when they were back for a few days. She speaks with an ascent. Guess becos she is english speaking that's why. She asked me abt dog matters hee ;) Hee so paiseh as not an expert la. But really excited to see her boy boy ;)

Kiddo Gathering ;)

Sent dear dear off to work and took half of his breakfast hee as he is tired so no appetite. With tuna sandwich in my stomach, i am updating my blog now then sleeping hee. Scared put on weight hee. Eat already cannot sleep ;p

Last night, dear dear's colleagues K-Hwa and Alvin were here for chit chat and drinking session. Their wives and kids were here too. So fun to see children at my place ;) Baby cheyanne is so cute and chubby!! She is 9 mths old and starts to crawl ard. She can really scream. She is learning to talk. The sounds she made (like playing with her tongue etc) make dear dear & I laugh. So cute!! She also claps. Baby at this stage so cute. But must be tiring on mum as needs to watch over the babies in case they knock onto corners.

And boy boy is in kindergarden now. He only stayed for a while as its bedtime for him at 10pm. Hee initially he was afraid of toby but subsequently with the encouragemt of daddy & mummy, he touched toby head ;) Brave boy ;)

Thereaft left with 3 guys and 2 ladies hee. While the guys were drinking and talking abt office politics, we ladies play with baby cheyanne and talked abt pregnancy & motherhood. Lilian shared abt delivery and pregnancy. It was enriching. She is an encouraging & positive lady ;) She always encourages me to be happy during pregnancy no matter what happened (morning sickness, stiff w hubby etc). Oh ya, K-hwa's wife made tiramisu. It was really nice ;)

Time passed, we chit chat till 2am before Alvin, Lilian and baby Cheyanne headed for hm. By then, dear dear was tired and dozed off immediately. This morning when he woke he was still tired, hence i got to eat the half tuna sandwich hee ;p

Meeting with P & D

This weekend supposed to meet up with P & D. Guess the truth will be told to us girls. But dear dear is not around in Singapore. He'll be away to Bintan for team building over the weekends and he prefers me not to go alone. He is afraid that i may be affected and depressed and won't be able to sleep. All the more i will be hm alone over the weekends. Never expect him to be so thoughtful. Initially i was thinking i cld go alone. But when he shared that, hmm maybe not go better. The other time when i just saw the sms already got me worried. So i told Joan the truth that i may not be able to handle it alone and that i wld not be going.

Ya come to think abt it i may not be able to take it if i see any of them cry and revealing what actually went wrong.

Will continue to keep them in prayers.

Ya really shock to receive sms fr frankie late last night. He is really concerned for Shirlene. Hmm shows that he is a gd man. Will keep both of them in prayers. God will make a way for them. Press on my friends.

Thankful

Tynn came by our place just now and gave us a big box of strawberries. They were very thoughtful and really thkful for their kind gesture. Really caught me by surprise! Here's the pic of the strawberries. They are really big. Like a rose. And they are really sweet.

Tynn's tummy is obvious now. And she also shared that nobody gave up seat for her. So unkind of s'poreans :( Initially, Desmond & Tynn chose not to know the gender of the baby till birth but decided not to as wanted to choose the name. Can't tell if its a he or she now hee. So surprise when Tynn shared that to really confirm if its a boy or girl, is to see if it has ovaries. I am shocked! Hee never knew that at this stage can see ovaries. The wondrous hands of God and the advancemt of scan. I am at awe. My God is super dober wondrous.

Tonight i prepared a simple dinner as i had headache in the afternoon and ever since the KFC incident, my stomach has yet to recover. Still feel nausea and blotted ;( Hope the medicine will help me recover fast. I cooked abc soup today. Hee i secretly put pumpkin into the soup as its high in vits but dear dear still know it. He doesn't like pumpkin but i love it. And the soup tastes hmm very nice and i like the colour hee. Actually he also felt its nice hee :)

Reflections

So fast, its Mon again. This wkend passed pretty fast. Guess becos its a bit packed that's why.

On Sat, aft dear dear came back fr wk, we doze off till 3pm. Then headed to City hall for a late lunch. We had lunch at Asian kitchen in B1. It was really nice. The roast duck, deep fried toufu and duck with salted veg soup were really nice. Must try!! Guess also dear dear luvs roast duck (which is smthg i can never do at hm).

Thereaft, we shopped ard. For me, still looking at shoes. Finally gave up as no matter how many times i looked at them, i just can't find smthg i like at Robinsons. Maybe at the end of day, i don't find a need, so i can never find a pair that catch my eyes. In the end, we use the voucher to buy an electric toothbrush for dear dear. He hasn't been to a dentist for donkey years so its gd that he takes care of them at hm. We also bought whitening toothpaste hee;) My teeth is too yellowish i find, guess aft all these yrs of medication, that's the effect. Hopefully it'll help. Suppose to use it for a consecutive 14 days. Hee i tried dear dear's electric toothbrush. Wow its really super gd!! So much cleaner than normal brush. 2-3 times cleaner i guess. The rotating brush is gd, can reach the teeth deep inside. Hmm so tempted to get one myself but the cheaper version. Battery operated ones than rechargeable.

Oh ya we also went ard looking for bag for his bintan team building trip. The bags we had at hm either way to big or a bit old already, wear & tear. By in the end, didn't get as Robinsons didn't really hv much varieties. Also we bought bermuda for dear dear for his trip. The ones he has at hm are really old i hv to admit. Cannot show pple hee. Some of them he has been wearing them when we 1st met 10 years ago hee ;) ?! So we bought one at $16.90. Mm that's reasonable & comfy. I like cotton ones. Hee we also bought briefs for dear dear hee ;p So nice & sexy ha ha

Whatelse le, look at phone & camera. But just look look see see as this is a relatively big investmt. But guess dear dear really needed a new ph. The samsung ph is giving him pblms. The reception is poor at times and the battery life is the killing part. Guess becos of its slimmest, it suffers on battery life. So here i m, selling sony ericsson ph to him ha ha;)

In betw judy called, so nice to hear her voice ;) But too bad cldn't join them as dear dear needed to get stuff. Nxt time ok ;)

Oh ya this time rd, i tried the black sesame ice cream. Hmm not as nice as the green tea with red bean. And we felt cheated!! Last time, the guy wld fill up the whole cup but now he only gave us 2 small scoops, which maybe add up to only half a cup. So upset that they managed biz this way to cut cost and increase profit :(

Thereaft we headed for hm, spent time with toby. Hee at close to midnight we left hm again for dinner, supper la. So unhealthy right but guess ok la as its weekend hee ;) We went to macpherson. The big coffeeshop seems like closing down?? So many stalls were empty. Totally empty, just left the open tiles on the floor. Renovation? So we went to the smaller coffee open bengawan solo. Seems like newly opened. Don't recall seeing it last time. Food not too bad.

On Sun, we brought toby down to play frisbee 1st thing in the morning. So surprise that dear dear initiated that. He also felt bad that we didn't spend time with Toby on Sat. So they played. See toby so tired aft the play, the whole tongue falling out!

Thereaft, we went to hougang for brunch. While walking ard hougan mall aft the meal, we saw this young man in boxer short! So i asked dear dear again, is it only me that find it inappropriate? Dear dear also said its really not right to wear it to the streets. So funny, add some favours to our lives ha ha. Hee we walked passed the durian stall but didn't buy as we were full. So nice to see them still ard ;)

In the late afternoon, we headed back to my pil place. Yesterday, we went out for dinner. Dunno what's the occasion, my fil asked ah ma along. So together with the 2 maids, 10 of us having dinner. So unusual. Guess he is really happy to be ah gong now. Baby brandon was there too! Oh ya did i share that my mil's maid, Lucy, is very gd at taking care of babies. Wow she is so so experienced. Get to know that back at Indonesia, she helped to take her of her younger siblings. She is very attentive. She really off load a lot for my sil. Oh here's the pic of ah ma. Though she is 90 yrs alreadi, she still looks so radiant.

Hmm below are the sadder parts of my day. Mixed feelings. Dear dear shared to my mil that he wld be going to bintan for teambuilding. The immediate response was cld they (my pils, my bil and 2 relatives) come along. Dear dear welcome them as they can enjoy corporate rates. As for me, mixed feeling. On one hand, know that its nice to bring them along as a family outing. On the other hand, just wanna time alone with dear dear. Can't imagine in future, if we ever want to go overseas, will they be coming every time? (The other time, we shared tt we wld like to go for an overseas tour, they also suggested a family overseas tour) Its also not right to hide fr them. So hv this mixed feeling. So dear dear assured me that even we go together as a grp, we can hv time alone. We can go spa together w/o them. True also la. Will learn as i grow to be a better wife & dil. And then during dinner, dear dear shared that he went to bintan on last Thu. The immediate reaction fr my mil was why wasn't she informed. And the next qn came immediately, did Lishi go with you? I just felt lousy at that moment when she asked the 2nd part. Does it mean she will be upset if i had gone with YH? Why can't we spend time together alone away? But i guess i m too sensitive. I must say i am still learning to be a gd wife and dil. On one hand i really do enjoy family gathering, on other hand, i wanna time alone with dear dear. Guess i also need to learn to let go. I can hv best of both worlds if i learn to let go of my expectations. Then i can be a better person, a happier person. Suddenly remember this -WWJD "What wld jesus do". In nav, we were taught on WWJD when we were caught in situation. Hmm still a long way to christ likeness ...aiyoyo..;p

Fruitful

Dear dear is now at work. Waiting for him to come home by noon, hopefully ;) His colleagues were saying when he is back to work on sat, the machines seems to be ok. But once he is not there, they wld go on strike. Aiyoyo. Hmm no this shldn't be an excuse for him to wk on sat hee ;) Will pray for him.

This morning woke up to prepare breakfast for him, me and toby. We all had our breakfast at the same time, hee so funny. Toby loves the natural diet! Its made up of lamb, brown rice and carrot. But can only store up to 48hrs once open, so may not be a viable option. Will try the can food once this is finished. But in terms of smell, i still like the NB sausage hee. Oh ya supposedly to hv NB can food, but ran out of stk. Next time then. Hee are the pics. Oh ya the glucosomine tablets smells horrible, i mean i don't like the smell la ;p, maybe ok to others. Its soft so i can mix with the food.

After breakfast, took toby down for walk and aft walk, bath for toby. Hee felt so fruitful;) Oh ya i had a nightmare and when i woke up i dunno if i was back to reality. But the funny thing, i simply cannot recall the content of the dream. Hee also gd la 'p

Yesterday while waiting for dear dear to knock off, i finally bought the makeup remover! As recommended by sales promoter, I bought biore mu remover gel (I thought it was a cleanser initially hee). Seems gd lei, i tried yesterday. Felt clean aft using. Normally aft using the previous mu removers, i still feel oily and that's will cause outbreak for me. So hopefully this is gd as it said non-oily. Cross my fingers hee ;p Also its cheap, only $9.70 :)

Oh ya, i am going to BAN KFC!!!! Why? Becos it cause bad stomach discomfort for me. And not only me, dear dear too! (And this is not the 1st time for me) Yest i had a lousy day, in and out of the toilet and felt nausea. Dear dear too had the same experience but not the nausea part. Guess the chicken was unclean or simply too oily. I only had 1 1/4 pc only. And i heard fr my bil, he had similar experience too! Oh ya how this comes abt -> On Thu, dear dear came back fr Bintan late and had seasick so we ordered KFC. And we kanna tis bad experience. Talking abt seasick, guess the sea was choppy on thu, his colleagues also had mild seasick too. So dear dear was worried that i may not be able to take it, but i think i shld be fine. Hee cross my fingers again ;p

Hee yest we went to Holland V for dinner. We had the XO fish slice ho fun as i wanted smthg light. Hmm nice but its a bit salty and less of the XO fragrant as compared to the past. Change chef? Thereaft, we strolled ard HV. Was really enjoyable :) Dear dear bought a copy of Nat Geography to read. Didn't know that he likes it till he shared tt during his younger days he read it in camp and felt in luv with it. He too luvs the nature hee :)

Oh ya, dear dear is now sitting nxt to me reading Nat Geo. He is back! Hee tt's early ;) Ok that's all for now :)

Gone to Bintan

Today is Thu and dear dear is away to bintan, will be back in the evening. He remembered wrongly, he thought it was Fri. So woke up a bit late today at 8 plus and prepared him breakfast as usual. So shiok for him! Hee he called and said Tenah Merah ferry terminal was very near to our place. Maybe 10mins drive. So perhaps we can go there walk walk next time for a change ;)

Yesterday we had a late night, nice cooling weather. We went for a walk at midnight with toby boy ;), also to draw money for Ryan who is coming today. I ordered NB can food and another brand that ryan suggested to try out. One is lamb and the other deer hee. Wow deer meat. Also remember i shared abt glucosmine for toby, today will be delivered too! Delay for a while as can't meet the min delivery. Mm will take pics later hee.

Hee while dear dear was downloading songs aft the walk, i just sat next to him and watch him, and start scribbling. Hee once i started, cldn't stop. Below are my creations!! Did i share that i really like dear dear's name? I find it very unique ;) and so many strokes. At one pt, i forget how to write his name, esp 'han'

I realised i still love to draw. Was sharing with dear dear that i am still tempted to paint our master bedrm wall! Also i love to cook ;) (that's why i put so many food pics) Enjoy watching those cooking shows. But one thing is my right hand is ageing from all the hsehold chores. Sometimes feel tired and sore ;p How i wish i know how to use my left hand!!

Today no cooking for me and won't be going back to mum's place tonight as dear dear will be late and tired fr the recee (i didn't there is such word till dear dear corrected me!). Will go tomorrow if can.

Hmm a bit tired

Hee yesterday we went to Carrefour to do our grocery. Hmm its really enjoyable to shop on weekday. Not much pple and full of carpark lots! Bought rice, toilet paper for toby, beef, tomato paste....etc. I went around completing my shopping list while dear dear as usual was at wine section. Ended up buying 2 different cans of beer, Asahi & xxx. As well as escargo (dunno if i spell correctly). He loves it!!! He suggested buying those gigantic prawns for dinner. But its super exp, 1 prawn costs $8-9!! More like we are paying for the shell ;p, especially the head so big and heavy.

Then he disappeared again, to where? To the vcd/dvd corner to look at Transformer ;) !!! And i push the trolley ard to see what else to buy. Bought a mini 3 tier container to organise things a bit ;) Dear dear is so much energetic than me!! Almost 10 and he is reluctant to go. Guess why? Transformer lo, keep watching at the screen ;) Silly boy ;)

These few days with the menses flowing, can really feel the exhaustion. Hot outside but a bit cold inside. Dear dear, in the middle of the sleep, reminded me to eat more "pu" be4 its too late. He scared if i don't eat more now maybe my health can't get better. Ok will do for both of us, even more intense now, not just herbal soup.

This morning, woke up to prepare breakfast for dear dear. He wanted bacon so we bought 200g yesterday. Its a lot i felt but he said ok. Ok he is going to finish them hee ;p Look so appetising but so sinful. Hee i am watching my intake. More iron for me, less carbo.

Ya was sharing with dear dear, when my menses finish can buy durian to eat as my mum said is "pu'. We almost bought some yest but decided not as dear dear prefer those at kovan. The stall we patronised together with judy and chris. The store owner is nice, we can open and touch the meat be4 deciding we want it or not. We went there ever since. "Durian wait for me ok ;p"

Oh ya i must be very tired aft preparing breakfast for dear dear. Toby came in to sleep right next to me and i didn't know it!!! His face next to mine and facing me! But i must say its a nice feeling ;) Its like watching your baby when you woke up hee ;)

Nice weather

Hmm today is a nice weather. Guess becos of last night's rain. Really cooling last night ;)

As usual, Sun we went back to my pil's place for dinner. They installed a ceiling fan. Wow its really cooling! How i wish we've got one! But too bad our ceiling is a bit low + the false ceiling. We got to play with baby brandon. His parents bought him this play mat which i thought its really nice. Guess becos its green and has trees! ;) But he suddenly for no reason scream and cried, as if frightened by something. We were speculating if its the trees or perhaps he pull his hair. My mil said this is the 1st time she saw him in tears (tear drops in his eyes). I felt so bad as i was next to him when this happened. Though i knew i did nothing wrong, just felt so bad lo. Scare my pils wld say its my fault. Anyway, aft that everything ok ;) Below are the pics of him and the playmat.

Ok this is the play mat, i am talking abt. I took these pics when we tried to test again what trigger him to cry. But nothing happened. No screaming but crying to get attention to carry him.
Ya saw the window? The instruction says that baby can crawl into mat thru the window?? But funny with the cross bars, how to squeeze in?? Maybe baby is smart enough as the bars are soft??? Amazing...

Ya really pray that d & p wld be fine. Will continue to keep them in prayers. As well as dear dear. Dear dear faced with excursion again (pblm w sys). Need to pray for his work as well as job in intel. Know that he really hope to go there. But need to remind him what if he doesn't. He is also awared of it, which is gd.

Hee this is my good and pretty friend Judy with hubby chris and girl girl andrielle. Happy to meet up with them on sat evening ;) On earth, besides God, you need 3 things to make your life whole - family, friends & love. Abv all love.

Hee tonight see if we can go to suntec to do grocery. Let see dear dear work load today ;) Over the weekends he has been busy with work. So today can be a kind of break for him ;)

A Different Fri

Today is fri, supposedly to be thrilled but somehow not. Its different today (just says its the weather). Today the weather is hot as usual. Today's lunch is simple. Dig every remaining things in the fridge. Prepared snow peas (dear dear doesn't like tis, dunno why) and mince meat pie (Mince meat, prawn, onion, coriander, jap red pepper & flour). I really like this. Maybe next time can prepare for friends who come over. Here's the pic, not not so appealing. Ya toby & I had porridge. He simple loves it! Funny even its just so plain.

Toby's food is finishing. Will order fr ryan. At the same time will check with the price of NB can food. Outside selling $7 plus a can.

Tonight, dear dear will be going to a friend's place for discussion. So be4 that he'll come back for dinner with me. We shld be hvg it hereby maybe compass pt or punggol plaza as he'll need to be there by 8pm.

Life is so vulnerable. We human tend to struggle w relationships & money matters. The latter i find its always easier to manage. In any case, jus be positive, that is nothing that God cannot solve it right ;) Also, MUST MUST treasure your loved ones. Never take them for granted. Love them ok ;) Hmm to my dear dear, my beloved toby and all my friends out there, mmm luv u!! Smooch ;p

Fruitful Trip...No no no

This afternoon went to shop at Robinsons at Somersat. Left hm only at 4 plus to avoid the heat. Intended to purchase mu remover & toner. But came hm empty handed. Am still sourcing ard. Actually wanted to check out shu's mu remover as the net says its gd, esp for oily skin but there is no shu counter there.

So i went ard to look at shoes and clothes since i was there. Walk and walk but simply cldn't find anything that suits my eye. Or am i getting old? Hee not adapting to new designs? Hee i don't think so la. Just that i notice that s'pore fashion (those within my budget) is gearing towards korean fashion which i am not really a fan yet.

Oh ya saw the brand 'avenue'?? facial pdts but didn't look on further as hungry then so headed to my mum's place ;p Had dinner and played with my nephew, Titus. Had a very good time.

Bintan - Ok next time

Hmm dear dear called to confirm that i will not be joining him to Bintan next Fri. Yes, i can't confirm even my heart cries out to go there!!

Dear & colleagues will be there on Fri to racky the place for their company teambuilding event. He is the committee this time round. So we'll thinking it'll be nice if we stay the weekend there. But hmm really can't confirm if i'll be in a state to go so give it a miss. Why? Becos my menses will be coming soon. I don't want to bring those "breads" there and i want to swim and do spa hee.

Ok next time then. Dear dear said the actual event is end Jul and early Aug. There are 2 batches so he'll be there twice. So perhaps we can extend any one of them. Ok let see how things go then. Dear dear said bintan is very nice and fun. I never been there so i am really excited. Most importantly is very near S'pore hee. Just 45mins boat ride. I may need to go there by myself to meet him there.

Heat Wave? Or just me?

Last night, i had a terrible night. I woke up ard 4 plus becos i felt so so hot despite already in the aircon rm!! Felt the heat coming fr within. Went out to relieve myself and felt the heat immediately when i opened the door! Even right now when i am typing, i am perspiring. Is it just me? Dear dear felt ok but again he slept w/o clothes on. Or is it my hormones getting me warm??? In any case, really cannot tanah the heat these few days. Really global warming and we are so near to the equator!! Will become roast duck in no time ha ha. Remember to sun block ok ;p..(Ha ha while waiting for dear dear to finish his bfast, i put some pics ha ha)

Hee smthg fun...We both are crazy parents now ha ha. When we took shower together, we'll ask toby to join us. Not literally joining us in shower but in the toilet with us, watching us. We can't help to laugh at ourselves that we're crazy parents!!! ;) Can't bear to let toby wait outside. Anyway thought its quite fun, hee such of amusemt for us too 'p.

Oh ya, in the end we went down for a walk aft the shower at 12midnight. And that's was my 2nd shower of the day. Really cannot tanah the heat!! You can tell i really can't stand it right, i repeated myself so so many times!!:) We went down to buy bread for this morning.

Ok once dear dear finished his breakfast, i'll hide in the aircon rm again.

News Flash

While dear dear is watching the boring wrestling, i update my views on news.

Tiong Bahru market
Heard fr news that there is an excessive $700k aft the upgrading of Tiong Bahru market. And the hawkers are questioning on how it'll be returned to them. To cut the story short, what shock me is:
1. How come so much excess? How is the costing derived initially? Understand that hawkers need to fork out $3k - $8k for the upgrading proj depending on their nature of biz.

2. Somehow it has been sort of decided that only 70% (ard this %) of the $ will be returned to the hawkers while the bal 30% will be set aside as reserve for contingency plans and helping of the needy. This really shock me as this is hawkers' hard earned $. How can it be decided by some committee membera as how the excess $ shld be allocated. It sounds gd that its for gd purpose but it really makes me wonder. Is it out of hawkers' willingness. What contingency plans. If a particular hawker decides to give up his store, will he enjoy the benefit?

Overall, just feel sad for these hawkers. Also make me wonder if this is another NKF. And it also makes me wonder abt my mum's flat upgrading. She also pays a few k for it. Any excess? Where is the transparency?

NewWater
Also heard that newWater will be issued for spectators of the NDP'07. Suddenly i recalled that dear dear shared his concerns over newWater. His fab is using newWater for some cleaning process. Apparently, despite all efforts to further "clean" the newwater when it came to his fab, some how the water causes algae in the pipes and the machine/process need to be shut down. Apparently,the newWater is worse off than the industrial water that his fab is using. Can u imagine that? We can't drink industrial water but it seems to be more stable than newwater? Just wonder on the safety level of newWater. Will we be genetically alter if we do drink this water? Hee all these qns came shooting us as dear dear & i will discussing.

Guess that is why they are also looking at converting salt water to drinkable water too. Understand that this process is very much costly.

Shopping Plans

Done with dinner and washing. Dear dear liked the main course but not the soup. Too thick he said. Ok next time i use less flour then. Watched channel 8's 9 pm show hee;) Nice show. Initially, didn't have a gd impression but start to like it.

Mmm thinking abt shopping plans tomorrow. Need to get toner, eye makeup remover and makeup remover. Toner has finished and eye makeup remover finishing soon. Am thinking to get Neutrogena pore refining toner. So far my skin is ok with neutrogena. As for makeup remover, i can't use oil based ones. Even how little i use, i will hv outbreak. Sob sob :( So am thinking of either trying fancl (my sis said its gd but again its oil base) or bio essence milk base. Will check out more tomorrow.

Oh ya this coming sat is earth day. 07-07-07. Only get to live thru once. Hee am suggesting to dear dear that we shld do something special that day. Perfect no. Initially was thinking if it was a weekday, dear dear maybe can take leave ha ha. Hmm what shld we do lei. Go to park??? Go to zoo??? Dear dear said i silly as how abt 06-06-06 or 08-08-08? Hee just for fun and memory sake mah ;) Must take pic on that day ha ha. Maybe go to changi airport and stand next to any big calendar ha ha ;p

Dear dear suggested to go down for a walk later. But these few weeks i a bit scared to go down at night becos of dengue! I always attract mosquitoes so scared i may attract these naughty ones. Oh ya i always thought its becos of body heat that attract mosquitoes. Apparently not, its the carbon dioxide that one emits that attracts the mosquitoes. I guess somehow i emit more co2 than normal pple. (aiyo bad breathing habit ;p) Also i learnt that pregnant women emit more co2, so interesting hee. God is always so amazing!! He has reasons for everything he does.

While Waiting

While waiting for dear dear to come home for dinner, here i am updating my blog and watching tv at the same time hee.

Today i prepared grilled teriyaki chicken, baked potato and cream of mushroom. Hee plus cold jasmine green tea with nata de co co ;) So hot, so must drink something real cold and also to clear the oil. While waiting, i bo liao took a pic of the table setting :)

Ya today is the last day of the hormone pill. So hopefully in 3 - 5 days' time, i'll be hvg my menses. Pray that it'll come and not painful. Please, pls, pls. I hv painkiller standby ;p

What else le, today vacuum and mop the floor ;) Hee planning to either go shopping tomorrow or trim my hair be4 going to my mum's place. So do the heavier tasks today. Tomorrow morning, maybe do some ironing ;)

Weather is Hot

The weather is so hot. So so tempted to chop off my hair. I mean cut short a bit but again really enjoy hvg long hair. Yet the ends is very dry. Especially the hair inside. To really get rid of the dry ends means half of the length will gone! Oh no, cannot. Also cut short, may be difficult to tie up which can be worse. Hee will think abt it.

Today, dear dear will be home late so i will hv dinner first. Hence, the safest is to cook pasta tonight. So when he is back, i can simply reheat for him. Ok now go do grocery at rivervale mall ;)

Today will be hsehld chore day for me ;) Ironing and washing toilets hee ;)

Wedding Dinner

So fast its Mon already. The weather these few days are super super hot that i don't feel like stepping out of my aircon rm.

Yesterday we went to Brandon's 1 mth birthday bash. Aiya, forget abt taking pics as many relatives ard. So hop ard to chit chat. Luckily the function rm is aircon, if not can faint. The food was ok but was tired to enjoy it.

Oh ya my mr toby somehow knew that yest was sun and waiting anxiously to go out to find blackie but too bad this wk can't. So we brought him down to the open field to play frisbee. He really enjoyed it!!

Now let's talk abt the wedding of Jn and Steph on Sat. It was a very nice place, at asian civilisation museum. I really like the long table setting (western setting) where we can really interact with friends easily. I got to meet my former singtel colleagues. I really enjoyed myself very much. I received hugs fr Diana, Mala and Lina. The feeling was really nice to see these colleagues whom were very close to me. Really glad. Somehow like meeting your family members. True had been in singtel for 7 yrs, really felt the attachmt. And i saw Keow Lin, Sally gu gu, Swi Tjhing, Jesslyn & Nandini. They all still look the same!

Oh ya last min, i was recruited as the receptionist hee together with Keow Lin and jess. Really enjoy their company. Hee i was late as the traffic was jammed. Dear dear & I didn't know that there was a closing ceremony of the national stadium. As such, some roads were closed. We reached abt 6.50pm, supposed to be 6.30pm.

This is Sally gu gu. She is a nice and fun lady. Dear dear saw her once and commented that she is pretty and doesn't sound local. She is our singtel's Sun (the lady pastor singer).

Hee let' s talk abt the dinner. Mmm nice. To start off we have scallop in caviar sauce, follow by mushroom cappucino. Hee so paiseh to take pics but don't care. Wanna update in blog hee. So nice the setting.

Oh ya, 1st time to hv so so many glasses on the table. I only saw in on show but now its real life so took a pic of it. Each of us will have a red wine glass, white wine glass, champagne glass, mineral water. A total of 4 glasses! And if you ask for a soft drink, you'll hv 5 glasses with you!! Hee i shld hv ask for it to complete the pic hee hee.

Isn't this lovely!!! Instead of the usual wedding cake, the couple has a wedding cake made up of small wedding cup cakes. And they gave away as gifts. I chose the blue one!! So so nice!! And the nice is fantastic! Its rich chocolate brownie. Hmm not exactly brownie but its really very nice.

This is Lina & I. We took these pics on our way hm. We left after dessert to catch a cab together. Enjoy the ride hm as we got to catch up and chit chat with the cab driver. Its really a nice chap. Oh ya, 1st time in my life in Geylang. We passed by there and we literally saw girls standing on the street!! Such a sight hee ;)
